25 Must See Haunts 2010

October 2nd, 2010

The Must See 25 Haunts for 2010 is full of fantastic haunted houses that you MUST go see if you can! I visited hundreds of haunts and chose some of the most unique, complete, scariest and fun haunts for the list. The haunts were selected solely based on the quality of their shows. As always, I have no ownership or financial stake in any of these haunted houses.

We all have different opinions about what we like in a haunt, but we all know that the best measure of success lies in whether or not the customers scream, and each of the 25 on our list do just that.

Check out Boo Hill at Kings Island. It used to be a Scooby-Doo themed ride. (Well, I f I remember correctly, it was a Scooby -Doo ride when I was a kid, it then changed to a Smurf  ride, then became Phantom Theatre and then back to Scooby-Doo. ) In any case, Sally Corporation was brought in to re-theme it yet again. Not sure if this is because of licensing issues (Kings Island used to be a Paramount property) but the ride needed a makeover in my opinion. The outside looks pretty much the same, but the inside looks a little scarier than it was and its going to be one of the rides where you shoot at targets and accumulate points. TIP: Do not get into a competition against Eddie McLaurin, Woods of Terror on one of these. If you want to see the press release just click for more.

Game Industry Veteran Jeff Strain Opens Video Game Development Studio in Seattle, WA

Seattle, Washington – When flesh-eating, shambling undead corpses invade Seattle, Undead Labs will probably be the ones responsible. Video game industry veteran Jeff Strain today announced the formation of Undead Labs, a Seattle, Washington-based game development studio that’s on a mission to take online gaming in bold new directions. Undead Labs’ sole focus will be to create the definitive massively multiplayer online zombie game (MMOZ) for console gamers. Nothing screams funny quite like wading into a group of rotting zombies with lawn chair and a box of sharpened #2 pencils, and nothing says fun quite like doing it with your friends, whether online or on your couch. Undead Labs is committed to bringing to life an MMO loaded with action, humor and, of course, a whole lotta zombies, because the world doesn’t need more dragons. (read more)
