This Halloween season, Haunted Attraction Magazine will be traveling through 24 different states to visit over 70 Haunted Houses, Hayrides and Haunted Trails across the country. In an effort to bring coverage of the ever expanding variety of Haunts and Haunt activity to the Haunt community we have dedicated ourselves to touring the country and checking out every Haunt we can get to.

Beginning in Ohio followed by a brief dip into Kentucky then back again into Ohio and then on to Haunts in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, New Hampshire, Utah, Maryland, Virgina, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Louisana, Texas, Tennessee and Indiana. All told we targeting over 70 different Haunted events and will travel over 15,000 miles!!!  Most of the tour will traveled via the trusty Haunted Attraction Hybrid with a couple airplane trips to get out west.

As we travel across the Haunt landscape, we will provide updates via this Blog and Twitter @hauntmagazine so check in often and hear what we have to say as we check Haunts like The ScreamPark, Erebus, The ScareHouse, Fright Kingdom, Shocktoberfest, Bennett’s Curse, Original Hollywood Horror Show, ScreamWorld and more!

Our goal is to see as many as we can so the schedule has been optimized to visit Haunts during the week when possible saving weekends for Haunts that are only open on the weekend. Hopefully, we can visit two to three Haunts on nights when open but weather, traffic and crowds will impact our progress.

In fact, we have actually already begun the Grand Tour! That’s right some Haunted Houses with 120 miles of Cincinnati have opened already and we have been making short excursions out to visit them before we leave town. We have already had the chance to visit:

  • Land of Illusion, Middletown, OH
  • Nightmares, Lexington, KY
  • Baxter Avenue Morgue, Louisville, KY
  • Chambers of Horror, Middletown, OH
  • The Dent SchoolHouse, Cincinnati, OH
  • USS Nightmare, Newport, KY
  • Haunted Hotel, Louisville, KY
  • Industrial Nightmare, Jeffersonville, IN

So far, the Haunting has been incredible and these Haunts seemed to be in mid-season form already!

Drop me an email at john@hauntedattraction.com if you want me to come visit your Haunt this season. The schedule is tight, but if I can make it, I’d like to visit you too!
