After two nights in Louisiana, it was time to move on to Texas and I started with Houston first. There are several good haunts in Houston and I started with Nightmare on the Bayou.

Nightmare on the Bayou Haunted House is produced by Bob Wright who also owns and runs an absolutely huge party store in Houston named Party Boy. I visited on Saturday night and both the haunt and party store were busy.

Nightmare on the Bayou has multiple attractions (three to be exact) that all deliver good scares and good fun. I think two of my favorite scares were a dropping board that hit a stop just above our heads – the girls I was with definitely thought it was going to hit them. The second favorite was a barrel drop where once again a barrel heads for the group and everyone thinks it is going to hit them.

The haunts have plenty of dark spaces and lots of startles to keep the group screaming and jumping back. Bob, thanks for the show and have a great season.
